the Colonial Governor of Georgia grants a charter to Augustus Villers Hobb’s ambitious start-up Atlanta’s Companie of Magick Lanternists & Illuminators. Tragically, an early demonstration made for a small community of itinerant pitch-boilers camped on the Chattahoochee River. The entire Companie is burned at the stake for witchcraft.

1976
Jimmy Carter is elected President of the United States, JVC launches the VHS system that will revolutionize home entertainment, and Atlanta Video, inc. is born in a two-room office near the infamous Stein Club on Peachtree Street.
1983
Atlanta Video co-founder William A. Brown directs the Emmy-winning documentary APOCALYPSE THEN, which airs in primetime on A&E. He is not burned at the stake.
1996
A scrappy, little-known tech startup, IBM, chooses Atlanta Video to produce material related to its sponsorship of the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Other clients and collaborators include Coca-Cola, Hewlett Packard, the Disney Channel, TBS, Emory University, CDC. The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Civil and Human Rights.
2018
Producer and screenwriter Eddy Von Mueller joins the AV team. AV continues working with B2B, B2C and educational media clients, and begins partnering with creatives to develop scripted and unscripted content for broadcast and streaming platforms. Accusations of witchcraft continue.
2024
Under new management, Atlanta Video and its partners begin work on an ambitious 2025/26 slate of Original Productions. Upcoming projects include the investigative docuseries TARGETS and SET PIECES, a series of documentaries on the history of soccer in America.
